OSHA: It’s Not Just a Small Town in Wisconsin by Angela Sanders and Aron Hoffman

Many employers are caught by surprise when OSHA unexpectedly shows up at their door. This presentation will provide an overview of the most important standards that employers must know to avoid an OSHA citation. The presentation will also provide practical guidance and tips for responding to an OSHA inspection and navigating the enforcement process.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand how the Occupational Safety and Health Act impacts employers of all sizes and industry.
  2. Ensure compliance with recordkeeping and reporting obligations.
  3. Update drug and alcohol policies in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  4. Understand employer obligations concerning temporary staff, and updating contracts with staffing companies.
  5. Proactively prepare for unanticipated OSHA inspections, including inspections triggered by workplace injuries.
