How to Avoid Burnout in the Workplace During COVID-19
Burnout is a critical issue for any organization due to its impact on turnover, productivity, workplace culture, and physical and mental toll on employees. As HR and business professionals, part of our role is limiting the impact of burnout on others and assisting those who feel this way to recover. Especially in 2020, there’s no shortage of stressors affecting our teams, so how can HR professionals help employees avoid burnout while balancing the realities of our current world: the pandemic, political stress, work-from-home-life, etc.? Join us as Michele Fry LPC, a therapist with COBYS Family Services, shares about identifying signs of burnout, communicating with employees about stress and anxiety, and mitigating the effects of burnout in the workplace.
Learning Objectives – As a result of this program, attendees will be able to:
1. Identify the symptoms of burnout in an employee.
2. Share information about anxiety and stress with employees
3. Assist employees in practicing self-care
4. Speak with an employee that is feeling anxiety and stress
