Happy New Year, Lancaster SHRM!
As we enter 2025, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible community we have built together and excited for the year ahead. Whether you’re a new member or a returning one, we value your commitment to advancing human resources and enhancing the work environment in Lancaster County.
At Lancaster SHRM, our mission remains clear: “We serve and elevate Human Resources by developing our members, connecting people, and strengthening our community.” Our vision to “advance human resources in our community” continues to guide everything we do. But more than that, our focus is on YOU—our members. Your dedication, growth, and success are what make our chapter thrive, and this year, we are doubling down on creating the best member experience possible.
The challenges and opportunities we face in HR are ever-evolving, and 2025 promises to bring fresh developments. Our leadership is focused on three core areas to ensure we are meeting your needs: Technology, Finances, and Programming. We are working hard to ensure that we are leveraging the latest technological advancements to support your HR practices, strengthening our financial foundation to create even more impactful programs, and curating programming that is both relevant and valuable for your professional growth.
This year, we will continue to focus on the most important aspect of what we do: supporting you and your professional journey. Whether it’s through networking, educational opportunities, or providing the tools and resources you need to stay ahead in an ever-changing world of work, Lancaster SHRM will be here for you. We recognize that HR professionals are essential in shaping workplaces that foster engagement, inclusion, and growth, and we are committed to providing you with the tools to lead those efforts.
As we look ahead to 2025, I also want to highlight the incredible value of getting involved with the chapter. Volunteering for Lancaster SHRM not only allows you to contribute to the growth of our community, but it is also an incredibly rewarding experience for you personally and professionally. Whether you want to share your expertise, build connections, or grow your leadership skills, joining one of our committees is a fantastic way to make an impact. If you’re interested in learning more about how you can volunteer and get involved, please reach out to us at info@lancastershrm.org.
I look forward to connecting with each of you throughout 2025 as we continue to elevate our profession and our community. Please know that we are here to serve you and provide the support you need to thrive in your role.
Thank you for your continued engagement and for being part of this amazing community. I am excited for all that we will accomplish together in the coming year!
Here’s to a successful and fulfilling 2025!
Sincerely,
John Shoff IV
