Job Purpose and Summary

The PTC is looking for a talented training and development professional to join our Training and Development team in Human Resources!  The ideal candidate for this role will be an innovative self-starter, who has a drive for initiative.     The Human Resources Analyst role focuses on designing and developing top quality eLearning experiences in support of performance and business goals. This position will be responsible for creating engaging eLearning solutions for a variety of audiences within PTC business units.

The Human Resources Analyst will also be managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) by collaborating with liaisons within each department to maintain the LMS content quality, completion compliance, reports, and assignment information.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Maintains the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) and performs data entry in the LMS to include running training reports, registering class participants, creating curricula, and assignment profiles. Trains coordinators within each department on the proper use and functions of the LMS.

Creates eLearning courses by taking instructional designs and putting them into Articulate Storyline or other eLearning tools, ensuring that each eLearning module Is visually appealing and engaging for the learner.

May draft and/or distribute communications regarding changes to the LMS, new training courses, or scheduled downtimes of the system.

Performs the day-to-day activities for one or more HR programs, projects and/or special assignments. Recommends and implements changes in procedures to facilitate effectiveness for assigned areas.

Develops, designs, and delivers training programs to assist employees in maintaining and improving job skills, such as interpersonal communication. May assess employee training needs and provide guidance to the most appropriate training method.

Modifies existing training course methods or materials, including visual aids, handouts, surveys, and exercises.

Schedules workshops, instructors, and rooms; assists instructors with course set-up and other training requirements.

Prepares materials necessary to ensure training certificates are issued and training records are updated for all course participants.

Serves as a customer service representative and provides guidance on HR training related issues. Interprets and familiarizes employees with established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.

Maintains and updates HRIS, learning management, records, and other automated systems. Generates reports.

Collaborates and participates on project/program teams and meetings.

Maintains HR intranet/extranet to ensure information regarding programs remains current.

Attends HR related seminars and researches industry updates to stay current on trends and legal requirements related to assigned program area(s).

Maintains confidentiality and appropriately handles sensitive issues.

Uses situational awareness to anticipate and prevent accidents.

Performs related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Seven (7) years of experience in human resources, education, or training field. – OR – Three (3) years of experience in human resources, education, or training field AND a bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, or related field.

Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

Successful completion of twelve (12) months as a Human Resources Trainee OR one (1) year as an Administrative Officer in the Human Resources Department with the PTC will be considered equivalent to the minimum education and experience requirements.

Possession of a valid driver’s license. Must obtain and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license within six (6) months of employment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Position demands include frequent speaking, writing, and reading reports. Position requires frequent work at a computer utilizing business programs and PTC specific operating systems. Position may require occasional travel and/or fieldwork with exposure to highway traffic. May occasionally work outside of normal business hours for assigned work assignments.

Office environment with low levels of noise, adequate lighting, and comfortable temperature. Field environment may include exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable conditions. Physical environment is generally safe, but safety equipment or precautions must be followed in field conditions.
