CURRENT OPENINGS:
*Flexible Part-time Schedule.

-Ideally, Mon.-Thurs.; 6-hour shifts.

-Approximately 24 hours/week.

-NO Weekends or Holidays.

 

The Human Resources Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will help with important functions such as staffing, engagement and retention. This position will be performed in accordance with Mennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in human resources, business, or related field.

·         Bilingual preferred but not required.

·         Knowledge of national laws and regulations related to employment.

·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·         Reviews, tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, licensure and certifications.

·         Maintains unemployment compensation portal; submit claim information, file appeals, track process.

·         Handles employment-related inquires from applicants, employees, and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate team member.

·         Track data from Employee Surveys, follow up with Directors to address concerns and team members to complete surveys.

·         Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.

·         Maintain team member records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details.
