Position Title: Senior Human Resources Generalist
Reports To: Human Resources Supervisor
Facility Assigned: Bird-in-Hand (BIH)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Position Type: Full time/Non-Exempt
Compensation: Hourly commensurate with skills and experience
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Human Resources Generalist originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Human Resource Department. The Senior Human Resources Generalist performs these services as both an individual contributor as well as a team to achieve optimum efficiency and excellency in keeping with the values and vision of Glick Fire Equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with and provide directional support to employees on day-to-day HR-related questions (benefits, personal changes, HRIS).
Operate as the subject matter expert on FMLA, OSHA, Unemployment, Workers’ Compensation, and Disability policies.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and supplemental plans.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 8-10 years of HR Generalist experience.
