December Breakfast Annual Meeting

Mentors, Advocates, and Sponsors, Oh My!

This is an extended program to 9:30 am due to Annual Business Meeting

Speaker: Bilita “Bili” Mattes

Ultimately, it comes down to the relationships that we foster that help us navigate, persist, thrive and advance in our professional and personal endeavors. Creating a network of mentors, sponsors and advocates is proven to be important to the success and development of all professionals. Knowing the differences between these roles and how they can help meet personal and professional goals is usually not clear. How do we intentionally, strategically and authentically cultivate these relationships? Let’s share insights and explore strategies to help HR professionals, and the teams they lead, reach their retention goals.

Learning Objectives – As a result of this program, attendees will be able to:
1. Provide researched insights into mentoring and professional development as a key retention strategy
2. Begin planning to provide and structure opportunities for mentor, advocate and sponsor relationships within their organization
3. Collect meaningful data on the impact of structured relationship opportunities within, and outside of, their organization

Special Notes:
Please wear red and white (optional but festive)
Please bring cash for charitable opportunities (optional)

Credits: Approved for 1.0 SHRM and HRCI credits
