Empowerment Through Resources: A New Approach to Employee Support
Session Description: How do you define poverty, and do you know how it effects your organization and people? This presentation outlines The Factory Ministries mission and explores the impact of being under-resourced in key areas—physical, emotional, spiritual, relational, financial, and intellectual. Join us as we examine how being under-resourced in one key area then affects the others, influences work performance, and ripples into challenges for HR and managers. Additionally, you’ll gain insights on the importance of relationally-driven benefits over traditional, underutilized EAPs.
Learning Objectives – As a result of this program, attendees will be able to:
1. Understand the importance and impact of personal resources in relationship to job performance and company productivity
2. Identify key areas (physical, emotional, spiritual, relational, financial, and intellectual) that are under-resourced for team members
3. Explore areas where HR and the company can address the needs of those on the team who are under-resourced
4. Explain the importance of having benefits that are designed with a relational foundation
Approved for 1.0 SHRM and HRCI credits
