Program Description:

The LSHRM Diversity Committee is hosting “Mapping Your Organization’s D&I Journey.”

Facilitator:  Joe Morales, President and CEO of J. Morales Group

Panel Members:

-Martha Giansanti, experience as HR Director for Employee Relations, Diversity and Inclusion

Joe Morales will lead a facilitated panel presentation by HR professionals from various industries will provide quantitative and qualitative information to help the audience gain an improved understanding of the business case for designing, implementing, and measuring diversity and inclusion initiatives within their individual organizations. The panel will highlight their individual experience with respect to their organization’s diversity and inclusion efforts. Because the topic is so broad, the individual journey experienced by each represented organization will also underscore the reasons why a “one-size-fits-all” approach should be avoided. Instead, the individual needs of an organization based upon their location, product/service, mission, demographics and strategic goals should factor into a more customized approach to achieving desired outcomes.  Each panel member will present on a specific diversity and inclusion-related topic, including: (1) disability inclusion; building the business case for a D&I Plan; (3) implementing a D&I plan; (4) strategies for recruitment and retention; and (5) specific D&I program examples.
