HR: Being the Essential Business Partner

Program Overview
You’ve read the articles and sat in on the round table meetings about the human resource function needing a seat at the decision-making table of modern business. Yet we continue to read that HR needs to rebrand itself as a corporate function. What you may never have read is HOW an HR professional can become the essential business partner that no company would go without. This presentation will give some examples of the ways the presenter created a strong human resources discipline at corporations and became the essential partner to every business she supported.

Knowledge is power, and learning about every business function is essential for HR professionals to elevate their voice and have decision-making input.  This presentation will share how to learn about each business function, and use that knowledge to gain influence at the highest levels.  Partnering with Marketing, Sales, and Finance is crucial, and these departments are the focus for starting to see that it’s possible to be a strong partner to every team. This session will include tips that each participant can implement as soon as they return to the office after the presentation and be on their way to Being the Essential Business Partner at their company too!
