Our client, Wire-Mesh Products, Inc is a third generation, family-owned business that specializes in producing the highest quality wire mesh belts in the business. They are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Human Resources Manager to establish the Human Resource practice for the organization and execute all responsibilities for three locations.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Develop and implement strategies for the human resources function that support the strategic goals and growth of Wire-Mesh.
- Oversee all aspects of recruitment; screening candidates, create and post job needs for the company, executing offer letters and completing all pre-boarding tasks.
- Partner with management to conduct orientation and oversee onboarding to create a seamless and positive experience for new employees.
- Execute all offboarding processes including, processing terminations within payroll, benefits and retirement accounts, conducting exit meetings and handling unemployment inquiries.
- Handle workplace investigations, disciplinary and termination procedures.
- Partner with management to address employee relations questions and conflicts.
- Ensure and maintain legal compliance by proactively updating, maintaining, researching, auditing and improving the personnel records, employee handbook, FMLA and other practices.
- Oversee and execute employee benefits functions, which includes communicating changes or updates for payroll processing to the Office Manager, 401(k) Plan administration, health care benefits monitoring and the maintenance of employee personnel records.
Successful candidates will have the ability to enhance a positive family-oriented culture while approaching employee engagement with an open-door mindset. Candidates should also have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a human resources role
- Proficient knowledge of human resource strategies in compensation, talent acquisition, performance management and talent management
- Experience working within a payroll system; including processing payroll, troubleshooting time and payroll entries and managing the employee life cycle within technology.
