Program Overview:

Employer Fiduciary Alert – What You Need to Know Regarding the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA)

The Consolidated Appropriations Act went into effect December 27th of 2021 and is one of the single biggest change to employer responsibility regarding Health & Welfare plans in 50 years.  These changes are placing similar scrutiny that the DOL had on 401k plans over a decade ago and the ramifications are just as severe.

The requirements, while hefty, are good for health plans, the people they are meant to serve, and are a path forward to eventually lowering healthcare costs while improving access.  A win-win for employers and employees.  Join us to learn more about what the requirements are and what action to take.

Justin Bio: In August of 2014, Justin formed BenefitsDNA , an independent privately owned Health & Welfare consulting practice comprising industry experts.  He and his partners serve employers, large and small regarding competitive self-funded healthcare and innovative employee benefit plan design. As a Certified Health Rosetta Chartered Advisor, he and his team are recognized as a driving force in fixing many of the issues we currently have in US healthcare.

In July of 2020, Justin entered as a partner in a joint venture called Highlight Health. Between the combined work with BenefitsDNA and Highlight Health, Justin is determined along with his partners to fix some of the largest issues plaguing the US Healthcare system.

He also serves on the PA State Council of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and joined his first Board here at York SHRM back in 2013!  He and his wife, Kim, live in Elizabethtown, with their toddler, Cullin and a baby due June 3rd!
